Each DC-3 Turbo Dakota TD-65 comes equipped with Pratt & Whitney PT6A-65AR Turbine Engines. These engines have the same SHP, TBO and HSI interval as the 67R, however, the PT6A-65AR provides much better specific fuel consumption, more operational history and less HSI distress issues. In addition, there is a larger supply of OHC and SV Engines and Parts. The 65AR Engine is common to SD-360 and convertible to/from Beech 1900C-65B.
